New York based Natalie Frank exhibits her grotesque and energetic figurative paintings in her show The Governed and the Governors at Fredericks and Freisier.
In works that appear to be an amalgamation of Leon Golub, Cecily Brown, and Dana Schultz, the press release states,
Women are the primary actors: they enact private fetishes, explorations, and fantasies of both relinquishing and regaining power. Whether sexual, violent or spiritual, these acts are performed in plain view.
